First digital currency swap by Central Banks

Safer. Faster. Cheaper.


Another milestone was achieved yesterday in blockchain and distributed ledger technology when two central banks swapped their own digital fiat currencies over two different blockchain platforms for the first time.


Both central banks and their two corporate partners continually pop up in my discussions with early-stage CEOs in the blockchain space. This is yet another example of their forward-thinking leadership in demonstrating how DLT will make cross-border payments and eventually other banking functions:
